Sensory processing disorder (SPD) presents challenges for individuals at any stage of life. In essence, SPD involves the way the brain interprets sensory input from the world around them. This means that individuals with SPD may have sensations differently than others. Several common symptoms of SPD include: Heightened sensitivity to sounds,
